Christ Lutheran Wednesday School is a school for children ages 3, and 4. Our purpose is to provide high-quality Christian education and training. All that we teach is based upon Scripture, which we hold to be entirely the Word of God.
We strive to achieve two objectives. We seek to prepare children for eternity by learning about Jesus and his forgiveness. We also seek to develop good citizens for our community and country. Jesus stated that these are the greatest of all the commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” We seek to instill this in our children by example and instruction. The Lord is gracious to promise that he will see that all other things are added to us according to our needs. (Matthew 6:33)
Christ Lutheran Wednesday School has been established and is supported primarily by the members of Christ Lutheran Church. In keeping with the Lord’s directive to let the little children come unto Him, our school welcomes children whose parents are not members.
Students at Christ Lutheran Wednesday School will work to move from play-based learning to a more structured and formal learning setting. We will expect students to participate in carpet time and learn to sit and work at a table. We will practice social skills and expectations for group behavior. We will learn to accept and love ourselves and each other as God loves us. Language, literacy development, and numerical development are important components of the PK Curriculum in Texas and therefore incorporated into the Wednesday School Curriculum. We will use big books, pictures, and videos to enhance the curriculum. Students will learn letters and what they represent. All activities are developed to assist children with the transition from home to school.
