The marks of the Church are the preaching of the Gospel in its purity, and the administration of the sacraments according to Christ’s institution. We believe worship is God’s gracious action for us through His Word and Sacraments, where He forgives, restores, and sustains His people. We gather to receive these gifts, confess the Christian faith, and respond with prayer, praise, and thanksgiving grounded in His Word. The liturgies and hymns we use anchor worship in God’s Word, handling Christ’s gifts in a respectful orderly manner. Liturgy also shapes faith, unites the congregation in a common confession, and connects us to the historic Church.
